Self-Service Career Resource Area Each of Riverside County’s Comprehensive AJCC ‘s and affiliated sites has a Career Resource Area (CRA) outfitted with computers, printers and fax machines. These self service resources are available to any individual seeking employment information and applying for jobs. Staff is available to assist with such services as: • Guide individuals to online resources to complete a resume • Find job listing websites • Review tips on interviewing skills • Apply for positions online • Locate Labor Market Information (LMI) on their career interests Staff also provides information and referrals to partner agencies for services that may be needed by customers. Approximately half of the visits to the CRA are for these job seeking resources and the balance to apply for Unemployment Insurance or inquire on the status of Unemployment Insurance claims.

IndividualizedCareer Services Customers seekingmore in-depth assistance to find employment or need training are encouraged to register for career counseling. Customers must provide documentation required by the Department of Labor to be eligible for this one-on-one assistance. Vocational training is often required for customers to obtain skills for a job paying a sustainable living wage. 262 Workshops Attended for Stress Solutions, Job Seeker Resources & Planning, Resume Writing, & Interviewing Skills

As part of Individual Career Services, customers can attend the A JCC’s Skills Path Boot Camp to hone their job seeking skills. Boot Camp can assist those with occupational skills who may lack the tools to sell themselves to e mployers. The Boot Camp is a series of workshops over three days including: a planning and resource guide to job search, resume writing, interviewing skills, dealing with stress and being accountable for your job search. Career coaches follow up with job leads and occupational assessments. Customers can also schedule a mock interview and additional resume reviews. The workshops are offered in English and also in Spanish as needed.
