Testimonials: FTHB:

MHTL: The difference is dramatic. Where we lived before the conditions were bad and affected all of us especially my son who has asthma. The mobile home park had failing water and septic systems. The water had dirt in it and we could not use it for bathing or washing clothes because of the dirt and the smell. The septic tank was near my mobile home and when it overflowed, the untreated septic water would come into my space and my home. It was disgusting. My mobile was not good either. It was too small because we are five in my household and there was only one room. We added a small room but it was still too crowded. We had a kitchen but no living room. I applied for the MHTL program and did not wait too long…We were treated well and I have no complaints. We feel safe where we live now. Everything is working as it should and everyone has their own room. My kids are happy and so am I.

The FTHB programoffered by the County of Riverside was an absolute blessing to my husband and I .We had already talked to a lender who had pretty much told us although our credit was excellent we were not able to get approved for much of anything and absolutely no down payment or closing assistance. We put home buying dreams on hold. I was then recommended Vickie Lasher of American Financial Network who was very knowledgeable of the County opportunities available to people. Within an hour, she got me approved and with down payment assistance, closing fee assistance and options. The County and the mortgage lender worked together to get us as much assistance and knowledge for this new chapter in our lives. We now have our first home and can’t believe what a blessing the programwas and think about how so many people don’t know about what’s out there for them. There are options, assistance, and all sorts of credits that can make home buying a reality. The process was not difficult and we had help and any questions were answered throughout the whole experience. Simply put, if it wasn’t for this program and how much help it provides with the financial burden, home buying would be closed off to such a large group of County residents. My husband and I would recommend the FTHB County assistance to anyone looking to take this significant life step. Our home closed escrow on 10/30/2018 and we couldn’t be any more grateful. With Sincerest Gratitude, Mr. and Mrs. Flores
