Third District Update_Feb 2020

• Met with Olga Cornejo and Joseph Campbell at the Hemet WDC to assist a customer with career issues. Customer is finding it difficult to get the right job that fills his desire, fits his skill set, and meets his monetary needs. Process is on-going as the customer has a few tasks to meet before he is ready to move in his search to find suitable and sustainable employment. • Attended the Economic Development Coalition Board Meeting. Was able to talk about the availability of the French Valley Conference Center, the upcoming Opportunity Zone conferences, and Innovation month. • Met with Scott Agajanian with the City of Murrieta to discuss the City’s focus for the upcoming year. Also went over Economic Development strategies for the county and region. • Met with Dwight Cromie of Altek Media Group. Discussed partnership opportunities between his business and the County of Riverside. Referred him to both Jaime Hurtado and Pep Fernandez. • Attended ground breaking ceremony for the French Valley Library. • Met with Diane Strand of JDS Studios in Temecula. Went over their business structure, digifest and innovation month, and how we can partner together. • Attended the All Chamber Mega Mixer in Murrieta where over 100 businesses were exhibiting and a couple thousand attendees came.
