COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT

CDBG, HOME, and ESG Programs

• Staff are reviewing 2020-2021 CDBG District applications, Cooperating City applications, and ESG applications. Public Hearing for Proposed 2020-2021 Action Plan is scheduled for February 11, 2020. • Federal FY 2020 budget approved 12/22/19. The CDBG program received small increase over FY 2019. The County’s actual 2020-21 CDBG allocation to be determined by HUD in February- March 2020.

Jurupa Valley Boxing Cub Parking Improvements

• Bids opened 10/7/19. Bids were reviewed by County Counsel. Low Bidder was rejected. PMO submitting construction contract to BOS. PMO received recommendation from County Counsel on 12/10/19 to award a contract to the 2 nd low bidder, Atom Engineering Construction Inc. PMO is proceeding with the contract award – expected to be submitted to the BOS on February 11, 2020.

Eddie Dee Smith Senior Center (Phase IV)

• Final facility improvements complete. PMO submitting final close-out documentation.
