22nd Valley Wide Employment Expo Hosted by: • Riverside County Economic Development Agency - Workforce Development • Riverside County Department of Social Services • State of California Employment Development Department • State of California State Council on Developmental Disabilities This was the first year hosting the Employment Expo at the Fantasy Springs Special Events Center. This annual event in September needed a larger facility to be able to accommodate more business exhibitors. The committee researched several options for a larger facility and this venue provided the space and an excellent rate. The special events center staff were very helpful and helped alleviate the number of set up staff needed . Job seeker information • Three 2-hour Pre Expo workshops were offered the week before Expo. Two in English and one in Spanish. Wristbands were handed out to attendees to receive priority entrance into Expo • Sixty workshop attendees attended Expo • 2,000 Jobseekers attended Expo • A larger application completion area was provided
