EDA Annual Report 2013-2014

Hemet-Ryan Air Show The Hemet-Ryan Air Show took place on Saturday, November 2nd at the Hemet-Ryan Airport in Hemet. There were gravity defying performances by Tim Weber, Melissa Pemberton, Golden Stars Skydiving and Jon Melby. In addition, there was an array of military, vintage and civilian aircraft static displays. Spectators and families with children enjoyed the Kids’ Zone where there were giant bouncers and many other attractions. The Air Show marketing material and promotional items were coordinated and developed with Marketing’s assistance.

Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival Marketing is responsible for the advertising, media and guest relations for the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival. In 2014, the 68th Annual Fair had an impressive attendance of more than 294,800 fairgoers. Perfect weather, must-see entertainment, effective advertising and strong media outreach helped ensure yet another successful Fair.

Team members worked with the media to cover and promote agency events, programs and activities through numerous press releases, public service announcements and news alerts. Marketing staff designed and produced in-house hundreds of original marketing materials including ads, event invitations, programs, flyers, direct mail pieces, reports, signage and banners. The Division managed more than 30 EDA funded sponsorships with outside public and private agencies, including the production of advertising materials and distribution of entitlements.
