Marketing Division Accomplishments The EDA Marketing Team showcased the best in Riverside County by facilitating more than 35 special events. Among these events was the 4th Annual Riverside State of the County with over 550 attendees, the 9th Annual 3rd District Economic Development Forum with nearly 450 attendees, the annual 5th District Symposium with over 200 attendees and the Deleo Sports Park Grand Opening with over 700 community attendees. Additionally, Marketing developed and managed the 3rd Annual ‘Round the World in 18 Holes Golf Tournament and Fundraiser in conjunction with the Edward-Dean Museum and Gardens (EDM) to raise funds for the EDM, the hidden treasure tucked away in the hills of Cherry Valley.

Marketing also coordinated the Grand Opening festivities for the Mecca and Glen Oaks Fire Stations, Cabazon, Mead Valley, Idyllwild and Palm Desert Libraries as well as the Rubidoux Child Development Center and the Cabazon Child Development Center. In addition, the Division coordinated and marketed the 6th Annual Riverside County Food Drive, Take a Bite Out of Hunger. The Food Drive ran from December 1, 2013 through March 31, 2013, with a successful county employee “Jean sticker” campaign component that allowed employees to donate money toward the purchase of a sticker allowing them to wear jeans

to work for one day. The 2013 Food Drive saw cash donations with over $24,000 raised. All the money collected benefitted Riverside County food banks and pantries. All county employees were invited to participate in the 2014 Jean Sticker Campaign from April 1, 2013 to July 31, 2013. This fundraiser was put in place to help bring an awareness of sexual violence. 100% of the funds raised benefit non-profit organizations.
