EDA Annual Report 2013-2014

Business Intelligence Business Intelligence (BI) is the research and GIS unit of the Riverside County Economic Development Agency (EDA). It maintains and updates the statistical reports posted on the Demographics page of the EDA website and supports the data and mapping needs of the various divisions that comprise EDA. BI responds to custom research and technical assistance requests from data users in general, such as business, education, nonprofits, and government. It is also active in a number of collaborative partnerships, such as the Construction Permit & Valuation Reports. These reports track monthly and year-to-date building permit activity in Riverside County. Publishing these reports would not be possible without the collaboration of the Building and Safety Departments of the 28 cities in the county and the County of Riverside Building and Safety Department. Business Intelligence plays a vital role in the information infrastructure of EDA and informs planning, policy, grant writing, decision-making, and reporting.
